Who Is the Lord Referring to in John 3:16?

unrecognizable people on city street

John 3:16 says: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. The word world can mean the entire world or the entire population of the world, but it can also refer to a specific group of people. For example, for the sports fans who love football and baseball, we have the sports world, or we have the political world for poly sci majors interested in politics, and lastly, we have the medical world for people interested in the latest treatments in medicine. The Lord was specifically addressing the world of Israel when he made that statement, but the modern-day heathen nations believe that He was talking about them as well.

The question of the day is: How can the heathen nations partake in something that they were never a part of in the first place? The Law of Moses and Covenant of the LORD was given to the twelve tribes of Israel, not everyone. There are many different types of worlds as I explained above―one has to look at the context of what’s being said. Yahawashi died on the cross for the nation of Israel because the covenant was made to us, and we’re presently under the curses specified in the Book of Deuteronomy 28 and are under grace due to His sacrifice.

One may also ask: Who was the Apostle Paul speaking to in 1 Corinthians 12:2? Paul called those people heathens because they were Israelite foreigners who didn’t grow up in Israelite customs, thus make them heathens in the eyes of Israelites who needed to be grafted back in, but that’s another lesson for another day. And another question is: Why would the rulers of today need salvation? Are they in economic bondage like ninety-nine percent of the world, and from whom do they need deliverance? We’re still behind enemy lines and need salvation by our Lord and Savior from the coming destruction on Earth via thermal nuclear missiles. All praise, honor, and glory go to Yahawah Bahasham Yahawashi.
