Walmart Closed Four Stores in the Chicagoland Area

Ecclesiastes 12:3 says: In the day when the keepers of the house shall tremble, and the strong men shall bow themselves, and the grinders cease because they are few, and those that look out of the windows be darkened. This scripture is referring to the inevitable collapse of the economy in the U.S. as well as the entire world. The so-called retail apocalypse had started sometime around 2008, when the housing bubble burst and the banking crisis forced the bailout of some of the major financial institutions in the country in order to prevent the total failure of the banking system. Many people lost their jobs, homes, and life savings during that period; and things seemed very bleak to the point of no return. However, the economy did bounce back and appeared to be trending in an upward direction, but the pandemic derailed any progress made as many businesses have failed in the last three years.

I live in the Chicagoland area, and Walmart just closed four stores in the Lakeview, Little Village, Bronzeville, and Chatham neighborhoods at the beginning of spring, and these closures came with no warning as Walmart claimed that they failed to turn a profit and have lost tens of millions of dollars. Residents and community leaders were skeptical of Walmart’s claims and had rallied against the sudden shutdown of these four stores to no avail. So, the million-dollar question is: Did Walmart fail to turn a profit at those prime locations or is something else going on here? I frequently visited the store in Chatham as my parents live nearby, and this location was always crowded as it had only been open for ten years.

If one is paying attention to biblical prophecy, these vacant Walmart centers would serve as ideal spots for FEMA camps when the U.S. dollar finally crashes, martial law is declared, and all hell breaks loose here in America. Our economy is on life support, and one more major catastrophe could send the country in an economic tailspin. All praise, honor, and glory go to Yahawah Bahasham Yahawashi.
